The Conservation Preserve Program is celebrating a quarter century of ensuring fish and wildlife habitats for sportsmen. More than 31 million are currently enrolled in the CRP, which focuses on reducing water runoff and sedimentation that can either ruin strategic nesting habitat or lesson water quality. Upland game birds such as pheasant and Quail are among species whose populations have have improved significantly as a result of the program.
